About the 4-Week Sessional

Dance Alchemy’s 4-week sessional will include a 1.5-hour class each week for 4 consecutive weeks. The sessional provides individuals the opportunity to build upon their technique, strength, flexibility, memorization, and most importantly, friendships. Our secure dance haven creates an environment for learning, exploration, embracing our emotions, and the art of dance.

Under the guidance of Kelsie Vanstone, a certified dance instructor with 16 years of experience, we will embark on a fun movement journey that connects your mind, body, and soul. Kelsie's passion for dance shines through every class she leads.

Class Structure

  1. Warm Up

Our sessions start with a dynamic warm-up that combines elements of yoga and Pilates. This warm up helps to increase flexibility, improve strength, and prepare your body for the dance movements ahead.

2. Explore Dance Styles

Dive into an exploration of different dance styles. From grooves to isolations, you'll learn techniques from diverse genres that will enhance your dance vocabulary and give you the tools to express yourself with confidence.

3. Improve Technical Abilities

Sharpen your dance technique through a series of exercises that focus on weight transfer, coordination, and precision. These across-the-floor exercises will challenge you to push your limits and enhance your overall dance abilities.

4. Choreography

Over the course of the 4 classes, you'll learn sections of a captivating routine. Piece by piece, you'll build up a mini combo that showcases your growth and progress as a dancer. You will feel the satisfaction of mastering choreography and embodying the artistry of dance.

5. Release and Connect

Embrace the freedom of movement in a non-judgmental space. Let the music guide you as you tap into your emotions and connect with your inner self. This is your opportunity to let go, express yourself, and experience the joy of dance.
