4-Week Sessional

Dance Alchemy’s 4-week sessional will include a 1.25-hour class each week for 4 consecutive weeks. The sessional provides individuals the opportunity to build upon their technique, strength, flexibility, memorization, and most importantly, friendships. Our secure dance haven creates an environment for learning, exploration, embracing our emotions, and the art of dance

Dress Code

Comfortable clothes that you are able to dance and sweat in. Socks or dance shoes, and of course, water.

Classes run weekly on:

  • Mondays | 8:15 PM – 9:30 PM

  • Tuesdays | 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM

  • Wednesdays | 8:30 PM – 9:45 PM

  • Thursdays | 8:30 PM – 9:45 PM

Style

Our classes are designed around musicality and expression, with each 4-week session centered on a selected song.

  • Mondays & Wednesdays:
    These classes focus on Commercial and Contemporary-based movement, with choreography inspired by the chosen track. Commercial styles draw from music video and backup dancer aesthetics—dynamic, expressive, and performance-driven. Depending on the song, styles may range from commercial to sensual movement, contemporary, or hip-hop.

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays:
    These classes focus on Heels/Feminine (Femme) styles, emphasizing confidence, fluidity, and expression.

    • Tuesdays: No heels required

    • Thursdays: Heels are optional

Class Structure

  1. Warm Up

Our sessions start with a dynamic warm-up that combines elements of yoga and Pilates. This warm up helps to increase flexibility, improve strength, and prepare your body for the dance movements ahead.

Dive into an exploration of different dance styles. From grooves to isolations, you'll learn techniques from diverse genres that will enhance your dance vocabulary and give you the tools to express yourself with confidence.

3. Improve Technical Abilities

Sharpen your dance technique through a series of exercises that focus on weight transfer, coordination, and precision. These across-the-floor exercises will challenge you to push your limits and enhance your overall dance abilities.

4. Choreography

Across 4 classes, you’ll learn sections of a full routine, building to a full combo that showcases your growth and confidence as a dancer.

5. Release and Connect

Embrace the freedom of movement in a non-judgmental space. Let the music guide you as you tap into your emotions and connect with your inner self. This is your opportunity to let go, express yourself, and experience the joy of dance.
